Local Food. Local People. Shared Strength.
Right now in Tasmania, too many people don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Families are doing it tough. Some kids are going to school hungry.
At Loaves and Fishes, we believe Tasmanians deserve better. That’s why we’re working toward a future where everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food—while also creating jobs and strengthening local communities.
We’re not just handing out meals—we’re changing how food works across Tasmania. That means making sure good local food doesn’t go to waste, helping it reach the people who need it, and creating real training and job opportunities along the way.
We use a mix of rescued and locally purchased food to make every meal count. From farmgate to kitchen, we work with growers, volunteers, trainees, and community partners to get good food where it’s needed most.
This isn’t just about food—it’s about dignity, connection, and opportunity.
Together, we can grow something stronger.
